Torch + Kiln is a new contemporary craft gallery and jewelry art studio, specializing in representing talented modern artists of studio pottery and ceramics, blown, fused, and stained-glass arts, and fine and art jewelry. They stock a wide range of functional and beautiful pieces from artists from all over the world, ensuring something for everyone within the gallery. Their retail experience continues with a permanent jewelry booth, offering permanently welded sterling silver and 14K gold chains. They also offer a variety of silversmithing and enameling classes ranging from beginner to advanced; and plan to host specialty workshops and events for people of all ages and skill levels to learn about the art of jewelry.

Our Story
Torch + Kiln is a new contemporary craft gallery and jewelry art studio, specializing in representing talented modern artists of studio pottery and ceramics, blown, fused, and stained glass arts, and fine and art jewelry. They stock a wide range of functional and beautiful pieces from artists from all over the world, ensuring something for everyone within the gallery. They also have a permanent jewelry booth, offering permanently welded sterling silver and 14K gold chains and charms.
At the age of 15, founder Natascha Bybee, imagined a space for herself where she could create and explore all the things that fascinated her. It was a building over 7 stories tall! There was a gallery to exhibit the work her and her friends created and at the center of it all was a dedicated studio for teaching. A place she could share her love and passion for all things created by hand. Although not seven stories tall, this dream has been realized nearly 40 years later with her first storefront studio, Torch + Kiln.
After receiving her BFA, Natascha has spent the last 30 years practicing, cultivating, and nourishing her own artistic practice in jewelry making and enameling, and her communities’ love and appreciation for contemporary craft. As president for the Seattle Metals Guild, she worked extensively with an incredible group of artists to bring educational opportunities to her community. She plans to continue this work here in Verrado, with the hope that a business of this kind will add depth to the downtown core with unique hands on experiences, a supportive learning environment, and a love of the people that make and enjoy handmade items.
Natascha, alongside gallery manager Corinna Breneman and studio manager Billy Breneman, look forward to combining their love of the arts with teaching. The team looks forward to bringing a host of classes in silversmithing and enameling to the jewelry art studio; as well as fun, introductory workshops, special event nights, and lots of hands on learning for all ages. The studio will feature 12 jewelry benches and will run a range of classes from beginner to advanced, as well as offer tools and learning materials for sale.
“We are excited to bring this art opportunity to Verrado,” Natascha describes, “to be able to represent amazing artists and teach new enthusiasts the beautiful arts of metal-smithing and enameling, we hope there will be something for everyone to be inspired by!”
